Rushing to judgement

When Dan Gilbert wrote his ridiculous letter earlier this week, I thought "that's pretty stupid". The Jesse Jackson referred to Gilbert's as a slave driver and I thought "that's even dumber." And just when I thought there was enough petiness for one week, Rush Limbaugh tops them all. Just hours after Yankees owner George Steinbrenner died, Rush made this spineless yet still offensive remark
"That cracker made a lot of African Americans millionaires. And at the same time
he fired a bunch of white guys."
Why millions of people tune in every single day to listen to this raving lunatic spit out his hatred of everyone who isn't a WASP, I really can't say. I realize George Steinbrenner was not the most popular man in baseball, but have some respect for the dead.

By the way Rush, Steinbrenner was a big contributor to your Republican friends such as Regan and Nixon, BUT since he did employ African Americans, he can't be a true American right? Those African Americans you refer to, I'm assuming are athletes and front office executives, and they made millions because they were terrific ball players and brilliant business people. This shallowness you shamelessly exhibit is exactly the reason why NFL players protested your purchase of The St. Louis Rams.

In a week in which we saw the biggest star in the NBA sellout his home town and team, followed by a grown man resorting to middle school tactics to retaliate, which prompted Jesse Jackson to make his monthly race-based accusation, Rush Limbaugh managed to out douche them all. I will now ask people such as Rush and Jesse Jackson to stay out of the sports news, since you already douche up the airwaves and network news channels as it is. I promise this is as political as this blog will ever get, but I felt compelled. If Rush is really the "future of the conservative movement" then I would guess Democrats will be in office for a while. Anyway, congrats to Brian McCann for winning the All-Star MVP. I predicted Martin Prado, but any Brave will do.
