The LeBron Hangover

The agony Yankees fan felt when Louis Gonzales singled in game 7 , the betrayal Packers fans felt when Brett Favre retired, and then signed with the Jets, or the inevitable disappointment Cubs fans face each season. All of that pales in comparison to what Cleveland Cavalier fans are feeling now. When your hometown hero who re built your franchise, and then basically says "yeah good luck with this s**t" leaves, disappointed doesn't even begin to describe it. To say the Cavs bent over backwards to keep their 2x MVP would be an understatement. Head coach Mike Brown and GM Danny Ferry have been fired to appease Lebron's preference, cap space was cleared to re sign him, but the franchise couldn't guarantee a championship, and that's what ultimately lured LeBron to Miami, where he will join fellow All-Stars and buddies Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. Not only has the entire franchise taken a huge hit, but the morale of the Cleveland population will surly plummet. And then there was that bizarre letter written by the Cavs majority owner, Dan Gilbert. Read it here. http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/news/gilbert_letter_100708.html. With the Indians well on their way to a last place finish and the Browns anchored by the twins of ineptitude of Jake Delhomme and Brady Quinn, Cleveland sports are truly cursed. Anything but a championship for Miami in 2011 is a disappointment.
